Living roofs

The roofs of the plant are covered with sedum groundcover to protect them from solar radiation, storms, and changes in temperature. The plants absorb the rain and use it to grow so there is little runoff. It never needs mowed since they only grow 6 inches high. It also filters any water it doesn't use for cleaner return to the river.
