Lipizzaner Stallions performance in Lakeland72 viewsI caught the Lipizzaners while in Wauchula. Their winter training headquarters are nearby in Myakka. Any Thursday or Friday you can watch them train in Myakka free around 3pm. I caught this show in Lakeland as they started their 2009 tour. Only the males perform. Mares are used to continue the breed and as excellent carriage horses. The mares have a different center of gravity so are unable to perform the movements as well as the stallions.Jan 01, 2009
