Lake Ponchetrain causeway65 viewsThe longest bridge over water in the world, it is 24 miles long and just like riding a horse (up and down, up and down in your seat). Each weekday over 42,000 cars cross it. There is a $3 toll going south only. Had to drive it. There are 7 crossovers available if needed. I saw school buses and ambulances using it. Be careful of your speed, it is patrolled by lots of police. in foggy conditions, cars are sent across in small groups.Apr 28, 2009
