On the front of the hotel is a large sweeping veranda66 viewsThe veranda is stocked with rocking chairs while the lawn in front has deck chairs to while away the hours while watching the ships on Lake Huron. Relaxing is the name of the game at this hotel. There is a large flat screen TV in the lobby with lots of lovely chairs and couches. The indoor swimming pool and hot tub are well used at all hours. The food in the dining room was excellent. Look for a discount stay package on the Internet for this one and you may get a half pound of fudge for free as well. Mmmm!

The Hole66 viewsFound while renovating the guardhouse, once upon a time this leg iron in the hole was attached to a soldier receiving the ultimate punishment. Use of the hole was eventually abandoned for less severe incarceration in a cell above.
